Hi,
This is to announce that a 2-usermod set (ZP60039 and ZP60040) developed
by Tom Armstrong to add support for the TEXT= operand of the WTO and
WTOR macros is now available from
http://www.prycroft6.com.au/vs2mods/index.html#zp60039
This means that WTO macros can point to remote text with lengths
determined at run time, whereas previously inline text had to be used
where the length (or lengths if multi-line) typically had to be known at
compile time.
This is a great leap forward for developers of packages which need to
issue numerous different and varied WTO messages, and probably now
allows a whole stack of existing code to be compiled and executed on MVS
3.8.
Cheers,
Greg
