All,
ISPF Production Version 2.0 is now available.
Everyone who received a previous version or a beta version of 2.0 will
automatically receive the production version in a separate email in
the next few days.
Highlights of Version 2.0 -
1) ISPF Table support for all 21 table service calls from TBADD to
TBVCLEAR, as well as TBDISPL. Both local and shared tables are
supported.
2) ISPCLIB is now fully supported, Clists no longer have to be in the
CMDPROC file to be available to ISPF.
3) The CONTROL SAVE, CONTROL RESTORE, and CONTROL LINE service calls
are now supported.
4) ISPF will now share variables with TSO Clist processing. This means
that if a Clist invokes an ISPF service such as DISPLAY, all the
variables in the Clist are available to ISPF processing as ISPF
implicit variables. In addition, Clist variables may be updated by the
ISPF service, and all implicit variables defined in the ISPF service
will automatically be available to the Clist as Clist variables after
the ISPF service ends.
5) The ISPF variable ZISPFRC and return codes from ISPF services are
now supported via the TSO Clist variables &LASTCC and MAXCC.
6) Many other minor fixes.
Once again I am indebted to Greg Price for all the changes he made to
Review to accommodate ISPF, for the IKJCT441 interface he created to
allow ISPF Clist variable support, and for answering my many, many
3270 and other questions. I also wish to thank Larry Belmontes for all
the time and effort he spent testing Version 2.0, especially all the
Table services.
The product has now grown to 52,710 lines of code of which over 51,000
are assembler source and macros, the rest being panels and messages.
Let me know if you are interested, and I will send it to you.
Wally
