They might be on the licensed CDs. I believe
that the CDs can be re-distributed to anyone in
an enterprise as long as it doesn't cross
national boundaries. I could be wrong.

Is H390-MVS an enterprise? Hercules?

I do have the MVS/ESA 5.1.0 regular CDs
( that don't need a license code ) online
and can look something up for you.
Manuals include:

JES Common Coupling Services
JES2 Commands
JES2 Initialization and Tuning Guide
JES2 Initialization and Tuning Reference
JES2 Installation Exits
JES2 Introduction
JES2 Macros
JES2 Messages
JES2 Migration Notebook
Library Guide with JES2
Planning: Install and Migration JES2

Bad, good, bad, good, etc. news.

The CD manuals license agreement is not
clear on transfering manuals so it would be
best not to transfer a manual.
i.e. is Hercules an enterprise.

The license agreement does make it clear
that we can transfer the original CD media
if it contains some "G" or "S" manuals.
That's how I read it anyway?

So far, I found back to June 1999 which
includes OS/390 2.4.0 through 2.7.0.

JES2 does not have any logic, at least
not on these CDs. It does have:
ESA/390 PoOP ( On the JES2 bookshelf? Why? )
JES2 Commands
JES2 Diagnosis
JES2 Init. and Tuning Guide
JES2 Init. and Tuning Ref.
JES2 Installation Exits
JES2 MACROs
JES2 Migration Notebook
JES2 Data Areas Vol. 1, 2, and 3
JES2 Intro
JES2 Messages

I'll try to locate older CDs.

JES2 does not have any logic, at least not on these CDs.
Depending on what era you're looking at, some of the licensed
manuals were encrypted and you had to call an IBM service center
that gave you the keys for your shop based on your profile.
As I recall, there was a special BookManager feature that shipped
with the CDs that knew what to do with the keys.

We always got our key hidden in plain view
on the packing list.

The June 1999 licensed CD that matches
the unlicensed stuff also has PDF files that
read fine without a key. I didn't bother to
check the BookMonster files, but I don't have
the packing list so won't be able to supply a
key if it is needed. The licensed books are
for SNA, VTAM and DF stuff, not JES2.

Ah, right. You only had to do the service center thing
if you lost the packing list ;-)

The last JES2 logic manual was for MVS/ESA V3. The logic
manual was discontinued with V4 and replaced (sort of) by
a Program Reference manual.

According to very old notes, the order number was LY28-1006.
I don't know if it was ever on a CD. My ex-employer had a
hard copy of it, but since it's a licensed publication I don't.

At one time I had a copy of SY24-6000, the JES2 4.1 logic
manual, but it didn't survive when I moved seven years ago.
If somebody still has one, please send Al Kossow a copy.

Is there a specific question you're looking for information
on?
